Back in May we launched our limited edition brew, Florence, in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. All profits raised from sales of this beer were donated to NHS Charities Together to support the incredible work our NHS heroes do.
We wanted to find a way to support healthcare workers helping us all at this difficult time. As 2020 is The Year of the Nurse and Midwife as well as the celebration of what would have been Florence Nightingales 200th birthday we chose the name Florence as an acknowledgement to Florence Nightingale, the founder of modern nursing and one-time local resident of Derbyshire.
Six weeks on we are incredibly proud to announce that Florence has raised over £10,500 for charitable causes. Once our pubs reopen we also have plans to put on a number of parties for NHS workers, to thank them for the work they have undertaken during the pandemic.
We can’t that our health services enough for their resilience and and incredibly hard work during these unprecedented times.
