This Gift Pack contains two varieties of our Barrel Aged beers. We have used a variety of barrels to age these beers to create a special series of beers.
Days of creation is a true labour of love, a sour red ale aged in red burgundy barrels with Raspberries.
We wanted to create a modern sour ale that, aged in barrels, would have the same complexity and depth of flavour of our favourite sours from the USA.
After using a Belgian yeast strain to give a good foundation on which to build, we aged the beer in Burgundy barrels with the fruit for well over a year. Adding cultures of Brettanomyces, Pediococcus and Lactobacillus at set points let us sour the beer gradually over many months and give layers of flavour that can only develop over
The rich fruit aroma and flavours complement the sharp sourness which subsides for more malt and yeast characters to come through.
Lively, dry and thirst quenching, this a beer to savour; a complex and mature sour ale that we feel fulfils our original objective.
2017 – Gold Medal. International Beer Challenge.

Serpent is the first beer of its kind, and one of the coolest things either brewery has ever done. We went to Oliver’s Cider in Hereford seeking their lees, the natural wild yeasts that ferment their apples into great traditional ciders.
We brewed a robust Belgian-inspired golden ale at Thornbridge, added the lees in barrels, aged the beer for more than a year, and bottle conditioned it.
Serpent emerged dry, tart, firm, fine and funky, a full expression of our friendship, great British brewing, American Boldness, and Herefordshire countryside.
You must be 18 or over to order this beer.
