You might know us for our legendary beer Jaipur, but did you know that you can visit us in the picturesque Peak District town of Bakewell? Our atmospheric Taproom is situated in the same hangar style building as our traditional brew-kit, and is surrounded by beautiful trees and hills. The Taproom is a regular hub of events, with visitors to Bakewell and locals alike thronging to the brewery to get involved, all while enjoying the freshest craft beer in the Peaks!

Regular events at the Taproom include a monthly Comedy Club hosted by Sheffield’s Last Laugh. Each month promises a hilarious line-up of comedians, and previous highlights have included Britain’s Got Talent’s Jack Carrol and Live at the Apollo’s Scott Bennett, and that was just last month! The next Comedy Club is on the 7th April, so make sure you get your tickets soon.

The Taproom has also made designs to become the go to venue for Live Music in Bakewell and surrounds.  Last year’s Ya-Ya Fest was so successful that it’s going ahead again on the 23rd April. Ya-Ya Fest is a one-day festival showcasing an exciting line-up of bands, and even better your entire ticket price gets donated to the mental health charity Mind. Folk hero Seth Lakeman will be performing an intimate concert on May 14th before heading on a tour of folk festivals across the country. Fixtures of the Sheffield music scene, comedy-folk band The Everly Pregnant Brothers will play a raucous set on May 28th.

If you are an up-and-coming musician yourself, or just somebody who likes to have a bit of a sing, you might like Thornbridge Taproom’s monthly Open Mic Nights. They have a full professional sound setup, so all you have to do is bring your voice and your instrument. The next one is on 31st March, so get practising!

If you fancy a more low-key and traditional pub trip, then you are in luck. Every Monday at 7pm the Taproom hosts their pub quiz. The premise is very simple, answer the most questions right and your team can win a gallon of beer! With a diverse range of questions ranging from history to sport, with music and picture rounds too, your knowledge will be tested to its limit.

Of course, you’re going to get thirsty at all of these events, which will give you ample opportunity to sample Thornbridge’s award-winning range of cask ales, kegged beers, cans and bottles. We are running a Cask Year of Beer for 2022, with a range of innovative and traditional cask ales pouring at only a select number of pubs in the UK, including the Taproom. If you’re not a beer drinker yourself, there’s also a fantastic range of local and artisan ciders, spirits, wine, soft drinks and coffee!

If you live in the White Peak area, or if you’re visiting this Spring, make sure to check out our Brewery and Taproom for a quality time with quality drinks.

The best way to find out about upcoming events at the Taproom is to follow them on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter. We hope to see you at the next one!
