Since the sudden closure of the On Trade due to the COVID-19 pandemic we have seen an astronomic rise in demand for online sales of our products. Growth of over 2500% has meant we have had to adapt very quickly to scaling up what was a relatively small revenue stream for our business. With consumer buying/drinking habits changing indefinitely, we don’t see this growth falling off and we expect Online Sales to make up a significant percentage of our total revenue in years to come.
As a result, we are looking for an experienced E-Commerce manager to run every aspect of our online sales offering from the software platform we use, through to the courier company who delivers the beer and everything in between. This role requires somebody who can communicate with ease, both internally, and with our consumers.
Role & Responsibilities of the E-Commerce Manager:
Working cross channel with Sales, Marketing and Logistics to effectively understand and translate business direction for E-Commerce into a significant revenue stream for the business.
To actively identify and develop the correct online sales platform/software for our growing online business and to ensure compatibility with our preferred courier solution.
To take accountability for total Profit Margin % of sales in line with business expectations.
To ensure the highest levels of customer service from receipt of order, through to delivery and subsequent repeat purchase.
To actively be involved in the decisions on what we brew, why we brew it and when we brew it to meet consumer demand.
Work closely with wider Sales team to identify and drive initiatives that support longer-term business objectives through spot promotions, stock rotation, seasonal products, new product launches etc
Work closely with Marketing to create/design and schedule relevant email campaigns and content.
Work closely with Logistics to ensure accurate and timely fulfilment of orders, stock rotation etc.
To complete a sales report each week/month by product/promotion/customer demographic.
Spot opportunities to increase sales/margins/reduce costs.
Report directly to the Sales & Marketing Director.
About You as the eCommerce Manager:
Preferably with 2+ years experience in E-Commerce.
Preferably with experience of Google analytics and web content management.
A passion for Craft Beer is not essential as this will be nurtured! However, it would be beneficial!
Ability to communicate clearly (both verbal and written) with consumers and colleagues.
Flexible to work primarily at the office in Bakewell or from home on occasions.
Some element of weekend work may be needed to help with events and to maintain customer service levels.
Excellent organisational and presentation skills.
Adaptable to a changing environment where we all work together as a team to grow the business.
Attention to detail to ensure highest level of quality is maintained.
Highly self-motivated and directed.
