Sales and Field Assistant
Sales & Field Assistant
Thornbridge Brewery are widely regarded as pioneers of the craft beer movement in the UK. We operate out of Bakewell in Derbyshire and supply beer to all leading multiple retailers, pub companies, wholesalers and direct to consumer.
We are currently recruiting for a Sales & Field Assistant to join our ever-growing team.
This role will be a hybrid position including office work and field work managing accounts across South Yorkshire.If you have experience of selling great beer then we are interested in speaking to you.
The Company:
• Thornbridge Brewery was established in 2005 and is widely regarded as being one of the
pioneers in the modern beer movement
• Based in the beautiful Peak District, we brew a wide range of beer styles and package
them in bottle, can, keg and cask – all on site

The Role:
• Maintaining and developing existing relationships to ensure that the Thornbridge brand receives maximum exposure on bars and in fridges
• To actively seek out new business opportunities with forward thinking, progressive operators who value Thornbridge as a partner
• Contact existing customers weekly to run through availability, obtain sales orders and offer support where necessary
• Recognise further sales opportunities from conversations with customers.
• Follow up any potential sales leads
• Work efficiently in terms of personal time management and accurate reporting to the Sales Manager
• Work with the wider sales team to achieve a shared sales target
All applicants must hold a full driving licence

The role is currently office based Monday – Wednesday and Home Based on Thursday and Friday. However, for the right candidate we would be willing to consider some flexibility on this.

Shift Brewer

We are seeking an experienced brewer to join our team, working at the main production plant in Bakewell.
Responsibilities will include:
● Wort production on our 50HL brewhouse
● Cellar management including: Centrifuging, transfers, stabilisations, dry hopping, cropping yeast, CIP of various tanks and equipment
● Various tasks inside our laboratory
● Following our QA/QC procedures
● Representing the company at various events
The job requires a certain degree of heavy lifting and therefore the applicant must be able to lift 25kg sacks.
Brewing education to IBD diploma standard or equivalent is highly desirable, but not required.
An attention to detail and high hygiene standards, as well as a passion for beer, are essential. Once fully trained you will join a five-week rotating shift pattern between the hours of 5:30AM and midnight.
Salary will be dependent on experience. We are committed to lifelong learning and will support any successful candidate in their continued brewing education.
