Gelbvieh, 5.2% Kellerbier
Gelbvieh, 5.2% Kellerbier
Collaboration with Newbarns – Gelbvieh (pronounced ‘gel-fee’) is a Franconian-style Kellerbier, brewed with our friends from Newbarns brewery in Leith, Scotland.
Expect an unfiltered and hazy pale gold lager with a robust bitterness and a floral, spicy hop character, dashed with notes of strawberry and fresh melon.
Gelbvieh is named after a classic Bavarian cattle breed originating from the Franconian region, similar-looking to both Simmentals and Limousins, which are to be found at both Newbarns farm and in the grounds of Thornbridge hall.
ABV : 5.2% / 440ml can
HOPS : Tettnanger / Huell Melon
MALTS : Low Colour Maris Otter
