Yule is in keeping with the classic strong scotch ale style, or ‘wee heavy’, but with the distinctive addition of heather flowers. It pours an enticing shade of chestnut and is a beer built around the generous malt base, with an aroma of candied fruit that ushers you to raisins, dried apricots and caramel on the palate. The mouthfeel is decadent, with an enveloping boozy warmth to finish. It’s the perfect accompaniment to those long, dark winter nights.
